The Many Shoes of Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne Feature Image

With all the buzz of London Fashion Week (stay tuned for a full recap of that in the upcoming days), we couldn’t help but take a look into the the shoe collection of British model and It GirlCara Delevingne. For a supermodel who’s good friends with Kate Moss and Karl Lagerfeld, footwear-wise, she’s very relatable. When Cara isn’t strutting down the runway, sneakers and Timberlands seem to be her footwear of choice.

Cara’s a girl who likes to kick back and just have fun, and she shows this both in her personality and styling, which both kick ass. But while we were scouring Cara’s shoe collection, we couldn’t help but notice the many faces of Cara as well, and we aren’t just talking about the typical model pout-face. Check out the many shoes (and faces) below.

Designer to Watch: Alexis Isabel

Categories:Other Brands

ALEXIS ISABEL Feature Image

I love to read about emerging talent in fashion, and New York is a common ground for many starting designers. Last week, new designer Alexis Isabel debuted her first shoe collection here in NYC and was kind enough to invite the TalkShoes team to the unveiling of her collection. While we unfortunately weren’t able to attend, we were still able to get our hands on some great pictures of hershoes and were instantly intrigued.

Her collection is sensible, with moderate heel heights, and aesthetically elegant. The warm tones and playful patterns capture a sense of youthfulness, while the strappy or stripped-down silhouettes of these shoes are very feminine. With the vast materials used, such as metallics, suede and lambskin leather, this collection will appeal to a variety of wearers. Prices will range from $275 to $650, and these shoes will be made available in January through We look forward to seeing more designs from the brand as the seasons unfold!

Country Star Kacey Musgraves is Exactly The Person Who Should Wear This Chanel Bag

Categories:Other Brands

Kacey Musgraves Chanel Boy Bag

Here’s country music starlet Kacey Musgraves, signing autographs outside BBC Radio in London. Kacey is wearing a Chanel Boy Bag from the Dallas-inspired 2014 Metiers d’Art collection, which is pretty much a perfect choice for a young, successful country star; hand-tooled leather is particularly popular with the country-western set. It’s worth noting that she is also the first and only celeb under 60 I have seen rocking palazzo pants. (Kudos?)

If you want to see more of Chanel’s completely over the top Texan-inspired collection, you can check out many more of those designs here. Chanel and country music starlets don’t exactly go hand-in-hand, but perhaps Taylor Swift’s newly upscale fashion reinvention is putting pressure on her country contemporaries to follow suit. (Even though T-Swift’s current affiliation with country music is tenuous at best.)

Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2015 Collection Will Include $40,000 Alligator Bags

Categories:Other Brands

Marc Jacobs Surplus Plus Alligator Bags

Runway shows are only half the story; you don’t get the full picture of what a designer has planned for a season until the lookbooks and price lists come out, and thanks to Moda Operandi, a lot more of that information is now made public in a timely manner than ever before. As ourfriends over at Racked noted earlier this week, Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2015 trunk show includes three very notablebags that all ring in at a cool 40 grand.

Jacobs left Louis Vuitton after his Spring 2014 collection in order to focus on his own brand and its rumored, eventual IPO, and accessories are proving to be a huge part of that expansion. Jacobs has launched a handful of new, well-received foundational styles since his departure from Vuitton, and like basically every other accessories brand hoping to capture both the highest-dollar clients and those with more reasonable incomes who wish to emulate them, his next logical frontier is exotics.

In case $40,000 all at once seems a little steep, you can hand over a paltry 20 racks now and keep the other 20 for yourself until the pre-order comes to fruition in the spring. The bag will come in olive, brown and, for those of you who want to tempt fate with five-figure bag in a light color, cream. Check out the bags below or shop the full collection via Moda Operandi through September 23.
