Here’s the point, I fell off my chair after I spotted the Chanel Fall Winter 2014 Ad Campaign. I was one of the best ad campaigns I’ve ever seen, I mean the picture with all the Classic Bags hanging on the wall. Can I have one please? No I mean the wall (with bags included of course).

Anyway, presenting the Chanel Boy And Classic Flap Bag Fall Winter 2014 Collection. First what you need to know, is that Chanel continuously drop the prices of the Classic Flap Bags. Okay, that’s not true, I mean, Chanel made the Classic Flap Bags in Velvet and they are so-much lower priced than the original version that’s made from leather. To give you a comparison:

Chanel Medium Classic Flap Bag in Velvet: $3,700 USD
Chanel Medium Classic Flap Bag in Lambskin or Caviar: $4,900 USD

The difference is $1,200 USD.

Now for the ladies that had almost given up on Chanel, perhaps a Medium Flap topped with Velvet? And we also need to inform you the difference between these two materials (Caviar/Lambskin vs Velvet), you can read more at Chanel Leather guide.

Al right, what’s more in the treasury box?

Zimmermann Hits the NYFW Runway

Is it just us, or is Zimmermann one of the highlights of New York Fashion Week? While, yes, we are major fans of Phillip Lim, and Alexander Wang will always get our vote (and credit card details), there's something so feminine about every single piece in the Zimmermann collection. Plus, there's the little fact that this big name was Made In Australia.

While we admittedly prefer having the homegrown label on the local schedule, Zimmermann's presence in the US is growing by the minute. "We've always had a really great response in the US," designer Nicky Zimmermann told POPSUGAR Australia. And if you need proof that this label is one of our biggest exports, remember this: Zimmermann recently expanded their flagship US store to a bigger, better boutique, located on Mercer Street. The NYC store is Zimmermann's biggest worldwide, and is in pretty impressive company, nestled amongst other big names like A.P.C, Phillip Lim and Alexander Wang.

So what sets Zimmermann apart from the dozens of fledgling fashion brands trying to make it big in New York? "Our aesthetic is very different to what other designers do in the US. We’re obviously influenced a lot by where we come from and people seem to enjoy our approach to colour and print and the optimistic approach to our collections. I think since we've had our own stores in New York and LA over the last few years that it’s really helped paint more of a picture of what we do and what Zimmermann is about," Nicky said.

Front row at this season's show was a cool round-up of Australia's most stylish women, with Lara Bingle, Nicole Trunfio, Emma Lung and Harper's Bazaar US executive editor Laura Brown keen to get close to the action on the runway. But, Nicky would happily do a little switch with the front row: "I just wish I could be front row at one of our shows for once. As a designer you spend all this time and energy working on a collection and you never get to see the show how everyone else sees it," she joked.

Nicky says the collection, titled 'Cloud Stompers', is brighter than your ordinary Fall line: "It's very textural, colour and prints are very rich and there is a lot of intricate detailing combining metals and fabric." Scroll on to see what this iconic Aussie export delivered for Fall 2014 (that's Spring for us Down Under).

This Is How to Wear Culottes the Right Way

Categories:Other Brands

Love 'em or loathe 'em, culottes and cropped, wide-leg pants are back. We saw them on the international Spring 2014 runways but it's taken a little while for the fashion crowd to really embrace the trend. Well, embrace it again

Thankfully, the revived '80s favourite has taken on a totally new aesthetic for the season, with everyone from Valentino to local label Nicholas championing the look in current collections. While culottes are still the cool girl's tomboy alternative to a skirt, we've found one styling trick to make this look feel completely ladylike — and another that makes it seem almost as wearable as your trusted blue jeans. Almost.

Lily Aldridge is the latest style star to tackle the trend, pairing the wide-leg, cropped pants with a midriff-baring top on her way to the airport. But the street style crowd are also embracing the look, so come on, be brave! Keep scrolling to see and shop two street style-inspired ways to tackle the trend.

Margo and Me_BH_3650Hi guys! I am so excited to announce that this is a very special week as I am doing something new on the blog that I haven’t done before! A daily diary! With all of my recent travels, we have been working our booties off to capture some really awesome content that will bring you with us on our adventures to London and beyond! With this being my first time in my whole life that I’ve been to the UK, I have a whole lot to share. Let’s rewind a little and let me tell you about my first day.

NYFW was gone and done before you could say “fashion”.  But on the very last day, a London Fashion Week survival kit package arrived from Push PR London packed with a few travel essentials like the coziest socks for the plane from Scotland Shop and a cashmere sweater from Eileen Fisher. Beauty essentials from Zoeva Cosmetics, Holistic Silk and Julien Farel hair care products. And last but not least, some more than necessary reading material from Company Magazine and all arriving in a trustyTusting carry on bag. My favorite goodie however was an engraved Margo & Me necklace from I Love Designer, who doesn’t love an engraved name plate necklace!

Margo and Me_BH_3508Margo and Me_BH_3578Margo and Me_BH_3586Margo and Me_BH_3615The red eye was waiting for us last Thursday, and so the journey went on. Just a hop, skip and a jump over the pond and suddenly we had arrived to the chicest hotel, One Aldwych which is situated just across the street from the hub of all of the shows, Somerset House. Getting off of the plane, I had just one hour before my first show started. The fast paced theme song from Home Alone was playing in my head as I raced to get ready and run across the street! The street style photographers in London are no joke, it’s kind of amazing! They are all so friendly and interested in snapping your photo. I showed them a little love and look, I even made it into the (web) pages of Grazie Magazine!

Out of all of the shows that I attended that day, there was one that really stood out to me for it’s unique presentation – something that is very unique to LFW are the obscure locations and settings that presentations were done in (I loved it!). McQ by Alexander McQueen was showcasing the new Spring 2015 collection down a side alley in a chic warehouse setting. Clean, white walls with nothing but crisp campaign images gracing them housed the beautiful new collection. I can be seen viewing one of my favorite groupings in the photo above; the white eyelet pieces. Actually not eyelet, rather hole punched fabric to give it a lacey feel. You know how much I love lace! Spring by McQueen was just a dream!

We snapped a few photos around the quaint neighborhood that the venue was located. It was a quintessential London street and the sun was setting so beautifully – golden hour! First day and I’m already in love with this city…

Dolce And Gabbana Agata Bag In Grained Calfskin

Categories:Other Brands

Though we haven’t featured much Dolce & Gabbana Handbags so far, we can’t deny that their craftsmanship is one of the finest in Italy. And I am not only talking about assembling and putting the bags together, but also the amazing designs – so luxurious, so feminine that it literally makes any woman feel sexy.

Here’s a piece that captured my heart and soul, it’s the Dolce & Gabbana Agata Bag in full black. The Agata collection is not new and has been featured in different prints, but this exceptional piece is absolutely to-die-for because it’s simply ‘perfect’.

First notice the shape and the components like the handles, body and the metal closure, they are like ‘one’, each piece supporting the other. Everything feels so classic and timeless, because of the black color. The top closure is embellished with D&G Logoed Ball and it looks like two pearls.

Crafted from grained calfskin, a durable leather that makes the bag forever. There is also a pouch with customized compact holder in the interior; you can also carry the Dolce & Gabbana Agata Bag with shoulder strap.

By the way, this bag is inspired by Saint Agatha of Sicily, a holy bag.

Measuring 27 x 20 x 12 cm, priced at $3295 USD or €1950 euro’s at Dolce & Gabbana e-store.

For Spring 2015, Mulberry Gets Its Groove Back

Mulberry Spring 2015 Bags 3

Mulberry’s various and sundry corporate challenges are well-documented and yet to be resolved, but London Fashion Week waits for no brand. For Spring 2015, the brand soldiered forth in a more subtle way than it has in recent years. Instead of a big production with global It Girl and brand ambassador Cara Delevingne, Mulberry put on a subtle presentation full of the kinds of pieces that made people Mulberry fans in the first place.

There were a few of the company’s popular Bayswater bags on display in preppy, spring-appropriate finishes and colors, but the star of the show was a pared-down, chain-strapped shoulder bag called the Delphie, which Mulberry claims can be worn six ways but is probably most recognizable as a small shoulder bag that can be easily converted into a medium-size clutch. Instead of the signature large turnlock closure, it featured a smaller, more modern metal button that, while bearing the Mulberrylogo, was less in-your-face than the Mulberry of the recent past.

Check out the collection below; are you feeling this scaled-back vibe?
